My name is Adrian Baumeister and I work as a freelance sound designer and sound re-recording mixer for films. I love my work and the fact that it means working on different projects with various interesting and challenging subjects. I do believe that film making should be based on a strong artistic vision, high professionalism, good teamwork and an adequate budget.

I come from a musical background playing the piano since early childhood. Having completed a six-year Tonmeister course at the University of Arts, Berlin, I started my career as a sound engineer for classical music and jazz before turning to film sound. I believe that my special interest in music still has a great influence on my work as a film sound designer.

My references include award winning films such as Streetdance 3D, Paradise Now, Defiance or Waltz With Bashir and collaborations with internationally renowned directors such as Miranda July, Wim Wenders, Nick Broomfield, Max & Dania, Max Färberböck, Christian Alvart, Gernot Roll, Mario Barth, Ari Folman, Benedek Fliegauf, Tom Shankland, Hany Abu Assad and many others.

In 2008 I received an MPSE Golden Reel Award Nomination for Best Sound Editing on an Animated Feature Film for my work on Waltz with Bashir.

My studio is located at The Post Republic, a post production facility in Berlin-Kreuzberg housing some of the best sound professionals in the business. This unique setting  allows me to offer single sound editing services as well as full service audio post production, all in-house. This includes sound supervising, sound editing and sound mixing according to your needs and budget.
